About Me

I was born in L’Ametlla de Mar (Baix Ebre, Catalonia) in 1970. I am a journalist and I manage Forwards, a communications agency based in Barcelona.

I studied Communications at the UAB University, and hold a degree in Business Management from IESE Business School, University of Navarra.

I am currently a columnist for the newspaper El Periódico de Catalunya and I take part regularly in programs of analysis on politics in several mass media.

I served as professor of Corporate Communications at Ramon Lull University, and taught Communications in the Masters of Public Health degree offered by the International University of Catalonia.

I have served as the Secretary of Communication for the Government of Catalonia from February 2011 to January 2016. In this role I preside over the ACN (Catalan News Agency), the Editorial Board of the Government of Catalonia, and the Evaluation Board for Governmental Communications. Previously, I was responsible for communication of the Spanish subsidiary of Schneider Electric, director of the agency accounts 1990 MCS and communication director of the Prefectures in Tarragona. I started my career in Lerida daily La Mañana and daily Avui.

My prior experience includes serving as Head of Communications for the Spanish affiliate of Schneider Electric, as Director of Accounts for the agency 1990 MCS, and as Director of Communications for the Government of Tarragona. I began my career writing for the newspaper La Mañana of Lerida, and the newspaper Avui.
